Aljazira Takaful sees 40% higher profits in 9M

Riyadh – Mubasher: The net profits before zakat of Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company plunged by 40.407% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 21.122 million during the first nine months of 2021 from SAR 35.444 million.

The company's net incurred claims hiked to SAR 101.214 million in the January-September period of 2021 from SAR 2.312 million in the year-ago period.

Meanwhile, the company reported net written premiums jumped by 145.87% to SAR 51.842 million in the first nine months of 2021 from SAR 21.085 million in the corresponding period of the earlier year.

The earnings per share (EPS) settled at SAR 0.449 in the January-September period of 2021, against SAR 0.982 in the year-ago period.

During the third quarter (Q3) of 2021, the company's net profits decreased by 32.07% YoY to SAR 5.361 million, compared to SAR 7.892 million.

It is noteworthy to mention that during the first half (H1) of 2021, the company reported SAR 15.76 million in net profits before Zakat, down by 42.8% year-on-year (YoY) from SAR 27.55 million.
