DSI denies arrested former CEO’s claims

Dubai – Mubasher: Drake & Scull International (DSI) has refuted the claims of its former CEO, Khaldoun Tabari, regarding the accusations made against him by the company, according to the company’s press release on Monday.

The company’s refutation came after Tabari had issued a press statement on 5 February, in which he claimed that the allegations made against him are “unwarranted commercial claims and not criminal complaints.”

The company confirmed that his press statement is not credible and not based on any evidence, inviting the former CEO to present any evidence he has.

On 16 January, the company affirmed the accuracy of the news circulating on his arrest in Jordan following the international arrest warrant filed by Abu Dhabi authorities on 25 December 2019.

Tabari was accused of misappropriation, fraud, embezzlement, intentional damage to public funds, profiteering, and forgery; hence, the UAE authorities issued a travel ban against him on 31 May 2018.

The Emirati authorities are coordinating with Jordanian judicial authorities to extradite Tabari and present him before the UAE court.
