Mubasher: Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding has suffered a loss of QAR 40,000 ($10,990) during the second quarter of 2018 against a profit of QAR 4.63 million ($1.27 million) in the same period a year ago.
During the first six months of 2018, Dlala Brokerage reported a plummet of 89.6% in profits to QAR 1.34 million, compared to QAR 12.84 million in the same half of 2017, according to a bourse statement on Wednesday.
Earnings per share (EPS) stood at QAR 0.05 in H1-18 from QAR 0.45 in H1-17.
The plunge in H1 profits is attributed to a drop of 34.9% in brokerage and commission income to QAR 19.56 million, in addition to a decline of 36.7% in operating revenue to QAR 17.72 million.
It is noteworthy that in the first quarter of 2018, Dlala registered a decrease of 84.2% in profits to QAR 1.3 million, compared to QAR 8.2 million in the same period a year ago.
At the stock level, Dlala closed Wednesday’s session 1.01% higher at QAR 14.95.
