Mubasher: Doha Insurance Group (DOHI) reported a 7.3% year-on-year increase for the second quarter of 2018.
Net profits amounted to QAR 6.93 million ($1.92 million) in Q2-18, compared to QAR 6.46 million ($1.79 million) in Q2-17, according to the company’s statement to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) late on Tuesday.
During the first half of 2018, net profits of the insurance sector grew 2.9 % to QAR 34.93 million, from QAR 33.96 million during H1-17.
Earnings per share (EPS) amounted to QAR 0.7 during the period between January and June, versus QAR 0.68 in the same period of the prior year.
It is worth noting that DOHI’s profit rose 1.8% year-on-year to QAR 28 million in Q1-18.
By the end of Tuesday’s session, DOHI’s stock fell 5.38% at QAR 12.30.
