Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Refreshments on Wednesday posted a net profit of AED 6.97 million for the first half of 2018, compared to AED 24.68 for the year-ago period.
Revenues narrowed to AED 150.8 million in the six-month period ended June, from AED 229.3 million in H1-17, the company said in a filing to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM).
Earnings per share amounted to AED 0.08 at the end of June, versus AED 0.27 in H1-18.
In the second quarter of 2018, the company logged AED 11 million in profits, against AED 42.08 million in the same period last year.
Revenues shrank to AED 285.9 million in the three-month period ended June, compared to AED 415.6 million in the prior-year period.
Earnings per share (EPS) stood at AED 0.12 in Q2-18, versus AED 0.47 in the corresponding period of 2017.
It is worth noting that Dubai Refreshments reported a 77% year-on-year decline in profits for Q1-18, recording a net profit of AED 4 million, versus AED 17.4 million.
