Oman - Mubasher: The board of directors of Oman Investment and Finance Company (OIFC) recommended a cash dividend to shareholders of 16 baisas per share for 2016, according to the company’s statement on Tuesday.
The cash distribution represents 16% of the company’s capital and was proposed during the board meeting held Monday.
In April 2016, OIFC distributed cash dividends to shareholders representing 15% of capital, at 15 baisas per share for 2015.
The company last reported turning to profitability in 2016, achieving OMR 2.73 million against losses of OMR 3.57 million in 2015.
OIFC’s share ended Tuesday’s trading session up 0.45% to OMR 0.223.
The company’s capital amounts to OMR 20 million distributed on 200 million shares at a par value of OMR 0.1 per share.
