Mubasher: Q Life & Medical Insurance Company (QLM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qatar Insurance Company (QIC), on Tuesday announced that it has signed an agreement with medical service providers in Russia to expand its network of medical services during the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The network comprises around 700 service providers with large hospitals, according to the company’s statement.
QLM works on ensuring medical services to its members who will be present at different venues during the event.
“This prompted us to ensure the provision of a network of medical services providers of the highest quality and efficiency and geographical spread, ensuring the provision of health care services across the globe,” deputy group president Salem Khalaf Al Mannai said.
The leading medical insurance and life insurance firm will cover all the cities that will host the matches such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod.
Most of QLM's network providers in Russia are accredited by FIFA, according to the statement.
“The Company’s strategy for the future is to reach its objectives of global expansion and to enter into new markets,” Al Mannai, who doubles as CEO of QIC, added.
