RAK Ceramics' net profits surge in H1-21; dividends proposed

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The net profits attributable to the owners of Ras Al Khaimah Ceramics (RAK Ceramics) hiked to AED 148.491 million during the first half (H1) of 2021, compared to AED 14.104 million in the year-ago period, as shown by the company's consolidated interim financials for the period ended 30 June 2021.

The company generated revenues of AED 1.423 billion in H1-21, up from AED 1.004 billion in H1-20.

The earnings per share (EPS) settled at AED 0.15 in the January-June period of 2021, versus AED 0.01 in the same period of 2020.

Meanwhile, the board of RAK Ceramics has proposed to distribute semi-annual dividends of 10 fils per share for the first half (H1) of 2021.

The Group CEO of RAK Ceramics, Abdallah Massaad, said: "While our post-pandemic recovery in India and Bangladesh continues, we are closely watching the situation and monitoring the health and safety of our employees."
