Dubai – Mubasher: Takaful Emarat – Insurance registered AED 3.79 million net losses in the first half (H1) of 2020, against AED 1.51 million net profits in the corresponding half of 2019.
The company's net takaful income retreated to AED 38.02 million in the first six months of 2020 from AED 41.91 million in the same months of 2020, according to the company's consolidated interim financial results for the period ended on 30 June 2020.
The basic and diluted losses per share settled at AED 0.025 in H1-20, versus AED 0.010 earnings per share (EPS) in H1-19.
Meanwhile, the company has incurred accumulated losses of AED 59.63 million by the end of the second quarter (Q2) of 2020, accounting for 39.76% of the capital.
Noteworthy to mention, in the first quarter (Q1) of 2020, the company reported net losses attributable to the shareholders of AED 2.18 million, versus net profits of AED 323,635 in the year-ago period.
