Mubasher: Qatar Fuel (Woqod) on Tuesday inaugurated a new petrol station in Umm Abirieh region.
The new facility is part of Woqod’s efforts to expand and meet the rising needs of oil in the local market, the state-run firm's CEO Saad Rashid Al Mohannadi said.
Woqod is currently implementing 15 new stations, which most of them will be opened in 2019, Al Mohannadi added, according to a statement.
The CEO further noted that the company aims to raise the number of operating stations to 130 by 2020.
Woqod last reported a 28.3% profit increase during the first nine months of 2018, logging QAR 825 million, up from QAR 643 million in the corresponding period last year.
