Mubasher: Qatar Fuel Company (Woqod) on Monday announced opening a new station in Al Aziziyah, Al Rayyan, thereby raising the total number of its mobile and fixed stations to 82.
The Qatar-listed firm is currently supervising the execution of 15 new stations, most of which will be inaugurated in 2019, said Woqod CEO Saad Al-Muhannadi.
“Al Aziziyah Petrol Station is spread over an area of 10,000 square metres and has four lanes with eight dispensers that will serve Al Aziziyah and its neighbourhood,” Woqod said in a filing to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).
Last week, Woqod signed a jet fuel product sale and purchase agreement with Qatar Petroleum.
The Qatari energy firm last reported achieving profits of QAR 825 million ($226.6 million) for the first nine months of 2018, up from QAR 643 million ($176.6 million) for the same period in 2017, with an increase of 28.3%.
