Cairo – Mubasher: Banque du Caire has achieved standalone net profits of more than EGP 800 million during the first quarter (Q1) of 2022, Ahram Gate reported on Monday.
The total operating revenues rose by 14% to EGP 3.50 billion in Q1-22 from EGP 3.10 billion in Q1-21.
During the January-March 2022 period, the bank's net interest income surged by 12% to EGP 2.80 billion, compared to EGP 2.50 billion in the year-ago period.
Meanwhile, the net income from fees and commissions stood at EGP 545 million in the first three months (3M) of 2022, an 18% year-on-year (YoY) growth from EGP 461 million.
In 2021, the state-run lender logged net profits after tax worth EGP 3.60 billion, an annual jump of 15% from EGP 3.20 billion.
