Mubasher: Bahrain’s leading digital solutions provider, Batelco, has unveiled 'Google Cloud Interconnect', a new development that strengthens the company’s cloud services and bolsters its global connectivity solutions through a secure, reliable, and resilient network.
The cloud solution will contribute to lower network costs and higher bandwidth throughput while providing a more consistent network experience as compared to the Internet-based connections, said a press release on Thursday.
'Google Cloud Interconnect' will provide users with direct physical connections between their on-premises network and Google’s network, thus, easing the transfer of large amounts of data with reduced costs as no additional bandwidth over the public internet is required.
Additionally, the solution supports low latency and includes highly available connections, which allow users to transfer data between their on-premises and Virtual Private Cloud networks reliably.
Commenting on this announcement, chief global business officer, Adel Al Daylami, said, “As a result of this new offering, customers can be confident that they are utilizing highly secure connections, as traffic passes through a service provider with a dedicated connection.”
“Customers are also able to scale their connection capacity to meet their particular requirements, helping them to achieve their business requirements and support their digital transformation,” he concluded.
