Mubasher: Doha Insurance Group reported a 37.8% year-on-year drop in profits for the third quarter of 2018.
Net profits amounted to QAR 460,000 in Q3-18, compared to QAR 740,000 in Q3-17, according to the company’s statement to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) late on Monday.
For the first nine months of 2018, profits of the insurance company fell 67.1% to QAR 35.39 million, from QAR 34.7 million in the same period of the prior year.
Earnings per share (EPS) recorded QAR 0.71 for the nine-month period ended September, versus QAR 0.69 for the same period the year before.
For the first half of 2018, Doha Insurance’s profits rose 2.9% year-on-year to QAR 34.93 million.
By the end of Monday’s session, Doha Insurance’s stock jumped 6.35% at QAR 13.39.
