Dubai – Mubasher: Drake & Scull International (DSI) has been awarded contracts of more than AED 376 million for new projects in Tunisia, India, and Palestine.
Despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, DSI is also bidding for an AED 260 million project in Kuwait and for projects valued at AED 1.49 billion in Iraq, according to a press release on Tuesday.
The company has started working for a wastewater treatment plant in south Méliane in Tunisia, under an AED 178 million contract signed with a French company.
The company also won a contract valued at AED 34 million to build a wastewater treatment plant in India.
In addition, DSI completed an AED 76 million wastewater treatment plant in West Bank in Palestine, offering engineering, procurement, construction, as well as operation and maintenance services.
In March 2021, the company also implemented the Tubas / Al Tayaseer station in the West Bank worth AED 88 million
The Chairman of DSI, Shafiq Abdelhamid, commented: "During the past few months, the Company was able to sign several new contracts, including Wastewater Purification projects and Oil and Gas pipeline extension projects."
Abdelhamid added: "There has been a renewed emphasis on enhancing our operational efficiencies, reducing operating costs, and reorganising the operations to deliver our post-restructuring five-year business plan."
