Educational Holding’s profit goes up 7% in Q1-18

Mubasher: Educational Holding Group on Monday reported a 6.8% year-on-year hike in its net profits during the fiscal first quarter ended last November, registering KWD 2.05 million ($6.08 million), from KWD 1.92 million ($6.4 million) in the year-ago period.

The firm ascribed the first-quarter profit growth to a rise in profits of a subsidiary, according to a statement.

In December, the Kuwaiti company reported a 97.8% year-on-year profit drop during the fiscal year ended 31 August 2018, logging KWD 157,300 million, compared to KWD 5.66 million in the previous year.

Educational Holding Group’s stock levelled down 1.56% by the end of Monday’s trading session, to close at 315 fils, after 101,550 shares were exchanged, with a turnover of KWD 32,000.
