Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) signed settlement agreements with mobile operators Orange, Vodafone, and Etisalat to end ten-year disputes.
Mobile operators previously appealed NTRA’s decisions concerning the rates of mobile calls between different mobile networks, leading to financial disputes valued at over EGP 2 billion, Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology said in a statement on Monday.
This step came as part of the ministry’s efforts to resolve disputes between service regulators and mobile operators and create a supportive environment for local and international companies in the communications sector in Egypt.
