Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Methaq Takaful Insurance Company reported a loss of AED 6.494 million over the third quarter (Q3) of 2019, against a profit of AED 1.607 million in the same period last year.
Earnings per share (EPS) registered 0.08 fils in Q3-19 from 0.01 fils in Q3-18, the firm disclosed on Monday in a statement to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).
Total comprehensive loss reached AED 6.494 million in Q3-19 up from AED 164.148 million in the corresponding period in 2018.
During the period from January to September, the company achieved profits of AED 5.328 million from AED 13.921 million a year earlier, while EPS dropped to 0.04 fils from 0.09 fils a year ago.
It is worthy to mention that during the first half of 2019, the firm generated a profit of AED 11.82 million, versus AED 12.31 million in H1-18.
