Cairo – Mubasher: Oriental Weavers Carpet generated EGP 944.17 million in consolidated net profits after tax in 2022, lower than EGP 1.21 billion in 2021, including non-controlling equity.
The EGX-listed firm registered sales worth EGP 13.25 billion in the January-December 2022 period, compared to EGP 11.40 billion in 2021, according to the income statements.
During the 12-month period that ended on 31 December 2022, the basic earnings per share (EPS) stood at EGP 2.06, up from EGP 1.19 a year earlier.
Meanwhile, the total consolidated assets amounted to EGP 19.17 billion last year, versus EGP 14.16 billion in 2021.
Standalone Financial Results
The company’s standalone net profits after tax increased to EGP 1.46 billion as of 31 December 2022 from EGP 865.07 million a year earlier, whereas the EPS rose to EGP 2.06 from EGP 1.19.
Non-consolidated sales widened to EGP 5.64 billion last year from EGP 4.42 billion in 2021, while the total assets jumped to EGP 6.55 billion from EGP 5.05 billion.
Dividends
The board members approved a cash dividend distribution of EGP 0.60 per share amounting to EGP 399.06 million for 2022.
In the first nine months (9M) of 2022, Oriental Weavers Carpet achieved consolidated net profits worth EGP 583.74 million, down 39.20% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 960.24 million.
