Dubai – Mubasher: Takaful Emarat – Insurance reported a consolidated loss attributable to shareholders of AED 19.08 million during the third quarter of 2019, against a profit of AED 6.66 million in the year-ago period.
Net takaful income retreated to AED 12.43 million in the three-month period ended 30 September from AED 28.97 million in the corresponding period a year earlier, the company said in a statement to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) on Sunday.
As for the first nine months of 2019, the company logged a loss attributable to shareholders of AED 17.57 million, versus a profit of AED 9.057 million in the prior-year period.
Meanwhile, the company’s net takaful income stood at AED 54.34 million in the January-September period of 2019, compared to AED 69.66 million in the same period of 2018.
It is noteworthy that during the first half of 2019, Takaful Emarat reported a consolidated profit attributable to shareholders of AED 1.51 million, compared to AED 2.39 million in H1-18.
