Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The shareholders of Waha Capital approved a cash dividend distribution of 8 fils per share for 2022.
The dividends were approved during the company’s annual general meeting (AGM) on 21 March, according to a press release.
In 2022, the net profits attributable to the owners of Waha Capital amounted to AED 344.37 million, lower by 12% than AED 391.03 million.
Net operating income plunged by 21% to AED 720.31 million last year from AED 916.60 million in 2021, whereas the basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) attributable to the shareholders decreased to AED 0.18 from AED 0.21.
Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi, Chairman of Waha Capital, commented: “Following the results achieved in 2022, and as part of our commitment to deliver value to investors, the board proposed a dividend of 8 fils per share, which shareholders have now approved.”
Al Muhairi added: “Our board of directors fully supports Waha Capital’s growth strategy, which prioritises investment opportunities that can generate compelling returns for shareholders.”
