Mubasher: Qatar Fuel (Woqod) on Thursday announced that it has opened Al Gharrafa 2 petrol station, raising its network of petrol stations to 76.
“We are pleased to open new fixed petrol station Al Gharrafa-2. Woqod aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort,” Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi, CEO of Woqod, commented.
The company is working on establishing new petrol stations across Qatar to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country, according to the company’s statement to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).
The new station is built over an area of 15,000 square meters, and it has 4 lanes with 12 dispensers that will serve Al Gharrafa and its neighborhood.
Moreover, Woqod is working on the implementation of 21 new petrol stations, and a large number of which is expected to be opened by the end of 2018, the statement added.
The company also opened One Mobile Diesel station near Woqod Bu Fesseela station.
“As part of its strategic expansion plan, Woqod is targeting the achievement of a total of 130 fuel stations by the end of 2020,” Al Muhannadi said.
